For decades, safety has relied on regulation, training and enforcement, yet outcomes have remained largely unchanged. The issue isn’t awareness, but when and how it begins. By the time safety is introduced formally, behaviours and attitudes are already forming.

The Safety Superhero Approach

We believe that every child can be a Safety Superhero®.
We support educators to embed safety, health and wellbeing as part of everyday learning - so children don’t just follow rules, but understand them, question them, and take responsibility for them.
At the centre of the approach is the Safety Superhero, a simple, positive identity that helps children engage with safety in a way that feels relevant and empowering.

Looking ahead

As the programme develops, this will be supported by a wider range of characters and story-led resources, each representing different aspects of safety, health and wellbeing.
These will provide additional ways to bring the approach to life in the classroom - supporting engagement while building on the core method and framework.

What This Leads To

Over time, this approach helps children develop the confidence to make decisions, understand risk in a balanced way, and take responsibility for themselves and others.
Not as a one-off lesson - but as something that becomes part of how they think and behave every day.
